In May 2025, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Central Maluku Regency was 2.84 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.00. This y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of most expenditure group indices. Notable increases were recorded in the food, beverages, and tobacco group, which rose by 4.46 percent; the household equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance group, which increased by 0.60 percent; the health group, which went up by 0.92 percent; the food and beverage provision/restaurants group, which saw a significant rise of 11.24 percent; and the personal care and other services group, which rose by 7.93 percent. Meanwhile, the month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in Central Maluku Regency for May 2025 was 0.63 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) rate showed a deflation of 0.68 percent.
